Anita Skorgan
With an impressive career spanning over five decades, Anita Skorgan has established herself as a central figure in Norwegian music history.
Anita, originally from Gothenburg, Sweden, boasts an impressive musical legacy. With a background in NRK's girls' choir and as "Youth Piano Master" in 1972, she has been a prominent figure in Norwegian music.
She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1977 and 1979, receiving the Spellemann Award and Gammleng Award for her contributions to pop music. With over 20 album releases, Anita has also written and produced for other artists, including Karoline Krüger's "For vår jord."
Alongside Jahn Teigen, she has left an indelible mark on Norwegian music history, from the rock version of "La Boheme" at the Vienna Chamber Opera to the heartfelt Christmas concert "Stille natt" and later "Deilig er jorden." Their musical collaboration has created magical moments on stage, touching a broad audience.
In addition to her artistic success, Anita has been honored with the King's Medal of Merit and was inducted into the Rockheim Hall of Fame in 2019.
