Susanne Sundfør
Susanne Sundfør has established herself as one of Norway's most renowned and critically acclaimed artists throughout her long and impressive career.
Her breakthrough came in 2007 with the self-titled debut album, quickly reaching third place on the Norwegian charts. Sundfør won her first Spellemannpris (Norwegian music award) in 2008 and has received recognition for her unique contribution to music.
The album "The Brothel" (2010), Norway's best-selling that year, introduced a significant electro-pop-inspired sound to her career. International acclaim followed with the album "Ten Love Songs" (2015), which also topped Norwegian charts. Sundfør has collaborated with international artists such as Röyksopp, M83, and John Grant, with her contribution to Röyksopp's "Running to the Sea" becoming a classic.
Sundfør has also positioned herself as a voice for socially relevant issues in the music industry. After an eight-year hiatus, she returned in 2023 with the album "blómi." This album, inspired by Norse mythology and erotic texts, not only showcases her musical growth but also reflects deeply personal moments and dedication to family.
