Westby is a steamy blues band that takes you on a journey to the smoky blues clubs of the American South in the 1930s and 40s.
With a unique twist, the trio has replaced the traditional Southern English with Norwegian, resulting in a homage to the genre on their own terms.
Through both old classics and original songs, Westby conveys the essence of blues in a manner that would make the old blues masters nod approvingly. With Geir-Arne Westby on guitar and vocals, Magnus Buer Hansen on drums, and Espen Holtan on bass, the trio boasts an impressive history on the stage, having supported numerous renowned artists in both Norway and Sweden.
