Celebrate Norway’s National Day at Hovedgården – with traditions, delicious food, and a cannon salute from the historic cannons!

Here you can enjoy the national day in beautiful surroundings with a traditional buffet, old-fashioned games for young and old, and a cannon salute at 3:00 PM.

We open the doors at 12:00 PM and offer two seating times for our 17th of May buffet:

Arrival between 12:00 and 1:00 PM

Arrival at 3:00 PM

The buffet is served between 1:00 and 5:00 PM, and table reservation is required.Maximum 10 people per table.A selection of both hot and cold traditional Norwegian dishes will be served – there’s something for everyone!

Our café is also open from 12:00 to 4:00 PM – no table reservations in the café.
