Gåte
Gåte, a prominent name in Norwegian music, has skillfully blended traditional folk music with dynamic rock since the early 2000s.
This Trondheim-based band, consisting of vocalist Gunnhild Sundli, guitarist Magnus Børmark, drummer Jon Even Schärer, bassist Mats Paulsen, and John Stenersen on key fiddle and keyboards, has achieved national fame and international recognition through over 600 performances, five critically acclaimed albums, and a Spellemann Award for "Newcomer of the Year."
Following a spectacular comeback in 2017 and the success of the album "Svevn," Gåte continues to reinvent themselves, recently demonstrated by their participation in Eurovision 2024 with the song "Ulveham." With their latest music, Gåte reveals a deeper, more lyrical side, exploring the mystical aspects of Norwegian folklore while retaining their distinctive energy.
