Verdensteateret

Verdensteateret was built in 1916, originally as a cinema. In recent years, the venue has transformed into a small cultural center, hosting a variety of performances by both local and visiting organizers. At Verdensteateret, the local cultural scene in Sandefjord takes priority, but cultural activities from neighboring municipalities and the rest of the country are also welcome to showcase their performing arts.

In addition to music, dance, and theater, the auditorium and stage are well-suited for meetings, courses, and conferences.

Verdensteateret is located in the center of Sandefjord, with immediate proximity to public transportation. It is within walking distance to trains, buses, taxis, and the ferry terminal.

Since 2019, Fjorden Kulturdrift AS has been operating Verdensteateret on behalf of the municipality of Sandefjord.
