Sandar Kirke

Sandar Church is one of Sandefjord’s most central cultural and parish landmarks, with roots dating back to the Middle Ages. The current church was completed in 1792 and built in a neoclassical style, featuring a bright and spacious interior that seats around 1,200 people – making it one of the largest churches in Vestfold.

Throughout the year, Sandar Church hosts a wide variety of events: services, holiday celebrations, concerts, cultural evenings, and other gatherings. It combines history, tradition, and living culture – and continues to serve as an open and inclusive meeting place for both the congregation and the wider community.
